Description

Exquisitely Soft and Thin Handwoven Off-White Pure Pashmina Shawl with Pink-Purple-Mustard Border, from very warm Cashmere wool from the Kashmir Valley. Handloomed.
This is a one of several truly superior quality of pashminas I have been able to source at an exhibition of Kashmiri tradesmen and weavers who had just travelled down to the planes of Punjab & Haryana.
This is close to the absolute very best quality you will possibly find (I do have 1 simple cream pashmina of even more superior quality of weave in the shop, no embroidery or coloured patterning) and it takes enormous craftsmanship to spin the wool so thin and then weave it in such subtly exquisite patterning throughout the shawl. And apart from the border, there is a subtle beautiful design woven into the entire shawl too – check out the detailed pictures. The same type of subtle weave is also present in all the other superior quality shawls and stoles I have brought back.
Soft as a bunny’s underbelly fur even though it’s made from pashmina wool. You will want to keep stroking it and putting it to your cheek !!
Measurements: 212cm x 105cm. Weight: 137 gram (for a large full-size shawl!) . You can just fold it very small and put it in your handbag easily! These are very thin, yet super warm in winter.
Can be used as shawls but are also perfect as meditation shawls / light blankets for your yoga practice (shavasana) !
